2nd Annual Agroforestry Summit

Andy will teaching a skill share at the Central State University, Dayton Campus on Friday, October 16th at 1:00 pm. This will be part of the 2nd annual Agroforestry Summit, which runs from 9:00am - 6:30pm. He will be talking about mushroom production, including the Totem method of log cultivation (We have decided to change the way we refer to this method from “totem” to the “pack-and-stack” method, after someone brought up that the use of the word totem may be considered cultural appropriation. He will also discuss last year’s Warner grant project, which looked at on-farm mushroom spawn production. The talk will be followed by a demonstration of how logs are inoculated with the pack-and-stack method on our farm.
